After a week off, here is one that's really faith bound!

Jeremiah 17:7-8

7 “ Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

And whose hope is the LORD.

8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,

Which spreads out its roots by the river,

And will not fear when heat comes;

But its leaf will be green,

And will not be anxious in the year of drought,

Nor will cease from yielding fruit.(!)

This week, here is another question and answer. With Independence Day a few days away, let us not forget the independence that God has given us as a believer.

Romans 8:1-2 states,

"1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."

With this in mind, from what had God made you free?

Question: When all hell is ripping your life to shreds with great ferocity, how are you supposed to trust God to help you, when He is not answering and shows no signs of answering? (and please do NOT quote Job!)

[Sometimes we can feel so worthless and ashamed when we simply fall apart from circumstances and things we really can't control. But God says that He is our deliverer and that we need to trust and believe Him!

¹⁵ that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
¹⁸ “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. ²¹ But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Move from condemnation to everlasting life by believing Him who came to give you everlasting life!
